Spike dog is Koopa-dog hybrid that throw spiked balls. They were designed by Hiroyuki Kimura at Nintendo,[1] and they first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3. Spike dog has black Buzzy Beetle-like shells on their backs that are too small for them to enter. He's similiar of spikes species and Ludwig's pet dog hybrid.
